On 14 November, the Honorary Consul of Romania in Poland, Professor Krzysztof Zamasz, participated in the Energy Platform of the Employers of Poland organisation, which he co-organised. The deliberations within the Energy Platform encompass:
- Strengthening energy security – development of infrastructure, diversification of energy sources and integration with European markets.
- Support for enterprises – provision of analyses, forecasts and recommendations for companies facing the challenges of energy transformation.
- Innovation and new technologies – promotion of investment in renewable energy sources, storage and development of smart grids.
- Dialogue with public administration – active cooperation with the government and EU institutions regarding regulation and energy policy.
The topics addressed at the current edition of the Energy Platform included:
- Digitalisation of the Energy Regulatory Office (URE) and its impact on the tariff process in district heating
- The role of biomass in the Polish energy system, methods of utilising local fuels and the impact of such solutions on improving Poland’s energy security
Dedicated working groups have been established, through which intellectual resources, formal agency and innovative potential will be combined in order to develop the best operational models and recommendations for decision-makers.
Presentations during the event were delivered by the President of the Energy Regulatory Office, Renata Mroczek, and the Minister of Energy, Miłosz Motyka.
