On April 23, 2026, a panel discussion titled “Economic Cooperation Forum: Poland-Romania” took place as part of this year’s European Economic Congress (EEC). The event was co-organized by the Honorary Consul of Romania in Katowice, Professor Krzysztof Zamasz, and KPMG Poland representatives: Grzegorz Wójcik, Wojciech Majkowski, and Jakub Roszkiewicz.
The panel’s objective was to foster dialogue and develop effective measures to deepen economic ties between Poland and Romania, identify shared economic and geopolitical challenges, and leverage bilateral investments to strengthen Europe’s presence in the global market.
The discussion was opened with presentations by Marcin Bosacki, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Cristina Vasilescu, Tax Director at KPMG Romania.
The panel featured Michał Nitka, Chief Financial Officer and Board Member of Asseco South Eastern Europe; Krzysztof Pierzchała, International Commercial Director at Żabka Group; Mateusz Rykała, President of the Management Board at Upper Silesian Fund SA; and Maciej Srebro, Director of the Export Support Department at the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH).
