On October 13, 2025, the Honorary Consul of Romania for the Silesian, Łódź, and Greater Poland Voivodeships, Professor Krzysztof Zamasz participated in a conference organized by the Pro-Silesia Association, entitled “Sovereignty Begins in Silesia: Energy, Security, Industry.” Professor Zamasz opened the conference together with the Marshal of the Silesian Voivodeship, Wojciech Saługa.
The event provided a forum for debate among representatives of politics, industry, academia, and local government on the future of Silesia in the context of energy, social, and economic transformation. Two panels were held: an expert panel presenting the perspective of science and analysis on “Energy Resilience – Law, Economy, Society,” and a practitioners’ panel presenting the perspective of business and management on “How to Manage Energy Resources in the Real World? Strategic Decisions in Times of Uncertainty.”
During the second panel, Professor Zamasz emphasized the role of a well-considered strategy based on knowledge, cooperation, and responsibility in building local and national resilience in the interest of all social groups. He called for close collaboration among academia, business, and local government to shape the future of Silesia as an independent, self-sufficient, and strong region.
Following the conclusion of the conference, the Honorary Consul of Romania summarized and closed the event together with the Marshal of the Silesian Voivodeship, Wojciech Saługa.
