On February 19, 2025, the inauguration of the Energy Platform was held as part of the Employers of Poland organization’s activities.
The Honorary Consul of Romania in Katowice, Professor Krzysztof Zamasz, participated in organizing the ceremonial opening, which was conducted by Luiz Hanania, the CEO of Veolia Group in Poland.
At the institution’s headquarters, the Honorary Consul welcomed government members and parliamentarians, representatives of uniformed services, as well as representatives from academia, business and Polish regulatory bodies, including Secretary of State and Government Plenipotentiary for Strategic Energy Infrastructure at the Ministry of Industry Wojciech Wrochna, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Digital Affairs Michał Gramatyka, Commander of the Cyber Defense Forces Component gen.dyw. Karol Molenda, Director of the Internal Security Agency płk Rafał Syrysko, Director of the Government Security Center płk Zbigniew Muszyński, and President of the Energy Regulatory Office Rafał Gawin.
The meeting addressed issues concerning the challenges of modern Polish energy sector in relation to European energy realities. The key topics selected for the inauguration included energy transformation, deregulation of the energy sector, protection of critical infrastructure in energy, heating and water management, and cybersecurity.
