On 2 October 2026, the Honorary Consul of Romania in Katowice, Professor Krzysztof Zamasz, attended the ceremonial opening of the new academic year at WSB University in Dąbrowa Górnicza.
The ceremony was attended by representatives of the government administration, local authorities and the diplomatic corps, including Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence; Marek Wójcik, Voivode of Silesia; Marcin Bazylak, Mayor of Dąbrowa Górnicza; and Luiz Hanania, Honorary Consul of Ukraine in Katowice.
Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz delivered the inaugural lecture, entitled “Security Begins with Knowledge: Poland in the Face of Global Challenges.”
Commemorative statuettes were presented to the university’s distinguished partners as a token of trust and recognition for their support of higher education in Poland.
