The Polish-Romanian Solidarity Day commemorates the signing of the ‘Convention on Defensive Alliance between the Republic of Poland and the Kingdom of Romania’ on March 3, 1921, between Poland and Romania, supplemented by bilateral Guarantee Treaties signed on March 26, 1926, and January 15, 1931.
On this occasion, the Honorary Consul of Romania in Katowice, Professor Krzysztof Zamasz, Ph.D., participated in a ceremonial dinner at the New Parliamentary House of the Polish Parliament upon invitation from the Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee, Paweł Kowal.
The reception was also attended by the Romanian Ambassador to Poland Cosmin Onisii, Honorary Consul of Romania in Białystok Ewa Moroz-Ustymowicz, Dr. Joanna Darda-Gramatyka, the Deputy Director of the Warsaw Uprising Museum, Dr. Paweł Ukielski and Social Dialogue Committee’s of the National Chamber of Commerce expert Krzysztof Kuboń.
The primary topic of discussion was Polish-Romanian cooperation in strategic areas, both at international and local levels.
